Mehta & Padamsey Insurance Surveyors & Loss Assessors Pvt. Ltd. (formerly Mehta and Padamsey Pvt. Ltd.) incorporated in 1969, took over the operations of a partnership firm known as Mehta & Padamsey which was itself founded as a result of a merger of two firms, C. P. Mehta & Co. and Padamsey P. Shah & Co. C. P. Mehta & Co. was started in 1912, one of the earliest loss adjusting firms in India.
M&P today carried out surveys and loss adjustments mainly on behalf of almost all the insurance companies in India - both Government as well as private.
M&P has office in Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi and Ahmedabad in India.
Over the several decades of its existence, M&P has built a reputation of providing a highly professional adjusting service with complete impartiality and absolute integrity.
M&P has carried out surveys and loss adjustment in almost all branches of insurance except motor. We have surveyed some of the largest claims in India in petrochemicals, refineries, chemical factories, power stations, steel plants, white goods factories, cotton ginning factories, sugar factories, paper factories, textile mill, hotels, commodities, etc. For several years, we are also carrying out assignments in India on behalf of underwriters in USA and UK. We have carried out surveys and loss adjustment in Dubai, Oman, Kenya, Singapore, Mauritius, Thailand, Sri Lanka and Nepal. In these countries, we have assessed and adjusted claims under Fire, Contractor’s All Risk and Business Interruption Policies, etc.
M&P has also been taking up review of insurance policies (recently completed the assignment for a large refinery and petrochemical complex) and also insurance advisory assignments.
